Speech Competition In Our School: C.C.A.

Last Saturday there was a speech competition in our school, DAV. I have taken the part in that competition and given the speech on "Factors responsible for Uttarakhand Disaster".
The unabridged text of my speech:
The monsoon woes that wrecked the havoc in Uttarakhand was pretty disastrous and terrible.

In a matter of no time as the havoc struck the holy state, different authority started passing the buck on each other and everything that could go wrong went wrong. From flash flood to poor disaster management's infrastructure from cloud burst to lousy building construction. All in all it was on of the worst disaster faced by India.

In what could be seen as a reason behind this massive devastation are,you know, people in different vicinity of Uttarakhand are encroaching on river banks from last several years.There have been a heavy construction near the river beds without any regards to basic safety procedure. Trees have been cut down indiscriminately which is allowing soil erosion on extensive level.The flow of water has been clogged with an illegal structure.

Lastly, I want to emphasize on the loopholes tht were there from the government's side. The state government did not have any disaster management's plan to battle the mayhem of monsoon.
To put my speech into nutshell the fact of the matter and the bottomline is that you know the concept of security drill still lacks from Indian consciousness.

Hence,the havoc of UTTARAKHAND was wrath of god but, let me tell you something, it was compounded by our folly
